The image above is a picture of the ornament that set off a vision in my mind that started me on a journey of writing that I knew I had no choice but to invest in. At the time I was searching for a story. But I wasn't looking for any story. I was looking for a story that was going to be the best that I had ever written.

My husband had recently moved into my flat and he had brought with him a large collection of ornaments. He happens to love dragons and it was when I was cleaning the room one day that I saw this ornamental dragon that was looking a little dusty and in my mind I saw it come to life and imagined a scene that is now described in The Legends of Dothvera.

"With a thunderous roar the dragon shook its huge wings expelling the dust from all of its crevices."

From that day on, I knew I had no choice but to write the rest of the story. As the story around the dragon revealed itself to me, I knew that I had something epic. The Legends of Dothvera was born.
